The List is out! Once again the University of Nebraska remains at the top of the overall leader board.  Out of the  977 student athletes on the list this Fall, 48 of them are Huskers. These student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their 2nd academic year and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Nebraska leads the nation with 314 CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-Americans. But it’s now going to be 352! Notre Dame and MIT were in second and third place as of last year’s stats. No other institutions have even reached the 200 mark as of June 2014. I think it’s safe to say that the University is keeping up with this rich tradition. GO BIG RED! (See the full list)

The Husker Football team boasts 21 of them: Ameer Abdullah, JoshBanderas, Maliek Collins, Jake Cotton, Sam Cotton, Joey Felicy, Kevin Gladney, Greg Hart, Lane Hovey*, Harrison Jordon, Alex Lewis, Josh Mitchell, Mike Moudy, Mark Pelini, Givens Price, Ryne Reeves, Brandon Reilly, Trevor Roach, David Sutton, Chris Weber and Jordan Westerkamp.  Lane Hovey was noted to have maintained an unblemished cumulative GPA of 4.0 or higher according to the B1G Ten organization.
