Ezekiel Elliott – Ohio State

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

A much-heralded recruit, sophomore Ezekiel Elliot has fit like a glove in Urban Meyer’s system so far.

He has 709 yards and five touchdowns to his credit so far this year and has been a big part of one of the nation’s most prolific offenses.

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett has helped take pressure off him by running for 496 yards on his own.

Barrett is now nursing an MCL sprain, and might not be as much of a run threat as he has been early in the season.

That means it’s time for Elliot to step up or be exposed.
