Justin Jackson – Northwestern

Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

By almost any measure, Northwestern’s season has been a train wreck thus far.

Wildcat fans can lay at least some of that blame at the feet of Venric Marc.

He was touted by Athlon as one of the best backs in the conference during the preseason. Then he was suspended for two games to start the season. Then he defected to West Texas A&M.

Enter Justin Jackson. Jackson has been one of the few bright spots for Northwestern.

After failing to break the 100-yard barrier in his first four game, he reeled off 162 yards against Wisconsin and gave the Wildcats their biggest win of the season.

He’s is a freshman, so while the present looks bleak for Northwestern, he’s a prospect to watch out for in the future.
