3. Wisconsin (2-1)

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Last Week: Beat Bowling Green 68-17

For a brief moment, Melvin Gordon became somewhat of an afterthought when discussing the Big Ten offensive player of the year race.

A 38-yard rushing performance against Western Illinois can do that.

Gordon more than made up for it with a career best 253-yard performance against Bowling Green. It wasn’t just the stats that impressed though.

He showed moves that give the impression of a clean bill of health.

Gordon wasn’t the only Badger to have a banner day, as Wisconsin set a Big Ten modern day record with 644 yards rushing.

Tanner McEvoy’s passing game still needs to improve if the Badgers is going to contend for a Big Ten title, though.

This Week: South Florida (Sept 27- 11 a.m. on ESPNU)

My Prediction: Wisconsin 42-17
