7. Indiana (2-1)

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Last Week: Beat No. 18 Missouri 31-27

The Big Ten had plenty of impressive victories this past Saturday, but none moreso than Indiana’s defeat of a Top 25 SEC team on the road.

The Hoosiers’ offense has been impressive for years, and it looks like it might take another step forward behind running back Tevin Coleman (averaging about 190 yards rushing per game).

In order to pull an upset like that, Indiana needed it’s problematic defense to start playing like one of the big boys’.

Missouri finished with 503 total yards of offense, but Indiana’s defense swarmed to the ball and caused a number of negative plays for the Tigers’ offense. Limiting Missouri to 27 points was key in giving Indiana’s prolific offense a chance to outscore the Tigers.

Kevin Wilson now has his signature victory while coaching at Bloomington, IN. How his team responds to the attention this big win has garnered will determine the success of the season.

This Week: Maryland (Sept 27th- 12:30 p.m. on BTN)

My Prediction: Indiana 49-45
