This is more of an attachment to the previous step, but it’d be a major factor in taking Abdullah even more seriously as a Heisman winner.
If Nebraska is a legitimate contender for the first ever College Football Playoff after having been off the radar for far too long, you’d better believe No. 8 gets the credit.
That’s not a knock on his team, his coach or anyone else. However, while they’d say it was all about the Homewood, AL native, he’d be the first to point right back to them.

If all this happens, Abdullah has as good of a shot as anyone. As much as the odds appear to be stacked against him, he’s the one guy on the college football landscape I could see overcoming them.
