Husker Football: Miami Hurricanes Report Card
Coaching/Game Management B+
Tim Beck called a masterful game. No, really. Forgoing the 50/50 “balance” that he strove for earlier in the season and riding the horse that is Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska ranthe ball 53 times in total compared to 13 passes.
The offense looked prepared. Even individual plays, such as the plays where the design included “jet motion” looked more crisp. It’s like the idea was actually practiced!
The Blackshirts struggled early. Honestly, it seemed Nebraska’s best defense was its offense for the better part of the game. Nebraska’s linebackers had no answer in pass coverage, save the aforementioned interception.

A special note in this section: To me, the crowd gets an A. Everyone was standing and fired up.
Husker fans were a tad angry following the game, as it was the first time in my 15 or so years of going to Huskers game that I can remember an opponent being booed off the field.
That’s what you get for flipping off the crowd, nameless Miami lineman.
