Kickers/Punters A

Sam Foltz, man, where have you been hiding this leg? He boomed five punts for an average of 51.2 yards per kick.

That consistency and live leg wasn’t around last year. Let’s hope it sticks around.

On kickoffs, Mauro Bondi nailed two touchbacks out of six kicks and true freshman place kicker Drew Brown remained perfect on the season after drilling a 31-yard field goal.

Return Game A

De’Mornay Pierson-El appears to be the answer to all punt return questions. The true freshman showed excellent burst a few times and simply looks the part fielding those kicks.

He had 52 yards on five punt returns last Saturday. Nebraska totaled 70 punt return yards in 2013.

The kick return game was solid, especially Abdullah’s effort after McNeese State tied the game late. His 34-yard return gave the Huskers a chance to be in position to win the game.

Of course, No. 8 sealed the deal minutes later.
