Nebraska Football: Five Priorities That Must Be Addressed Before Kickoff
1. Firm Starting Quarterback
Not only are the names Tommy Armstrong, Jr., Ryker Fyfe and Johnny Stanton ingrained into our memories, now AJ Bush and Zack Darlington are being introduced.
While neither of them are likely starters, there needs to be only one guy at the wheel of the Big Red Machine.
Whomever that is doesn’t really matter, however it would help immensely from a mental standpoint for that signal-caller.

While it’d be nice to have a firm three-deep depth chart, that’s not necessary.
Having a co-No. 2 is a pretty accurate statement for Nebraska right now, anyway.
Assuming Armstrong opens the season as the starter, the second spot likely comes down to whether Fyfe or Stanton has the better week leading up to game time.
Does the public have to know who No. 1 is? Not necessarily, but it’s very unlikely Florida Atlantic won’t see at least two of the Huskers’ quarterbacks.
