5. Kicking Duties

Both Drew Brown and Mauro Bondi have been inconsistent through two weeks of practices, but it looks like Brown may finally be getting in a groove.

After going 4-for-5 while being heckled by the entire team during the August 16 practice, Brown might have a slight lead.

The good news is that there’s still a place on the team for Bondi that isn’t on the bench.

He has an extremely strong leg, as shown by clearing the bar on a 55-yard field goal on said practice, but accuracy’s his issue. With that in mind, he’ll likely be put on kickoff duty which is a great place for him to earn his scholarship.

Pelini said kicking chores will likely be named soon which is great, because Bondi and Brown both need to know what their roles are and prepare for them accordingly.
