2. Any Top Three Quarterback

Who’s your favorite potential 2014 starting quarterback? Tommy Armstrong, Ryker Fyfe or Johnny Stanton?

Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Regardless of your answer, Nebraska needs all three upright.

Armstrong may be 7-1, but I broke down just how meaningless that statistic is. He has some solid time during live play, and that’s great.

However, if you didn’t know which quarterback was which through fall camp thus far, the only way you could pick TA4 out of the top three contenders is because you have a 33 percent chance of being correct.

No quarterback is hitting long passes with consistency. All of them are streaky. They all can run extremely well. Three sentences that perfectly describe the Huskers’ situation under center right now.

Why does it matter if one gets hurt? Because Nebraska needs bodies even if they can’t complete passes on a frequent clip.
