2. Jonathan Rose Will See Extensive Cornerback Work

Season after season now, Huskers fans have been waiting to see Charles Jackson in more than bits and pieces of action.

There’s a reason for that. He’s an amazing athlete, but injuries have sidelined him.

This has slid Byerson Cockrell over into his Nickel role and due to some dings, it wouldn’t shock me to see him get in plenty of time at safety.

That’s where Rose comes in.

The Auburn transfer has what it takes to be valuable opposite Josh Mitchell.

If Cockrell has to juggle reps between positions, not only is Rose a more than capable placeholder, if need be, he can call the spot home.
