1. CB Jonathan Rose

Another transfer, Rose comes to Nebraska from Auburn and is right up there with Lewis in terms of athleticism and excitement about what he can do.

While Josh Mitchell talks the talk and has walked enough of the walk to permit it thus far, Rose offers the chance for his ego to inflate. The 6’1″ 190-pound Leeds, AL. native has every bit the opportunity to cause both running and passing games trouble which may tempt offensive coordinators to pick on the smaller Mitchell.

A breakout year increases Nebraska’s chances to win because: If Rose does cement his place across from Mitchell, Nebraska has another secondary to be respected and that can take chances against the run. Safety Nathan Gerry and Rose are two candidates for forcing fumbles.

If the last three on this list have a major spotlight on them in 2014, the Huskers should have every opportunity to grind the opposition, ride into Indy and potentially leave as Big Ten Champions.
