Bo Pelini’s Husker football experience has a similarity to many of his peers’. By the time a head coach watches one full recruiting class graduate, he’s seen some surprise studs pop up.

When trying to decipher just how good a prospect is, many recruitniks just look at star ratings and call it a day because they need time to do things like sleep.

Three star prospects are the greatest unknowns. Not quite good enough to be dubbed future superstars, but too good to be called projects. They have just enough potential to be those elite players that are eventually mentioned with a program’s greats.
