Iowa isBig E

Who better to represent the Iowa Hawkeyes than an alum? Big E could be considered an up and comer of sorts, but he’s been around long enough to collect an Intercontinental Championship and an NXT Championship. He’s also feuded with a few of the top guys as both a good guy and a bad guy.

Now, he’s just a mid-card player.

He’s lost some, won some, but the man is a physical force when he appears on television. He is also a legitimate powerlifting champion.

How fitting that the bruiser played for Iowa, as the Hawkeye team is just that, bruising. Big E attending Iowa isn’t where the similarities end. Iowa has won big a few times, but for the most part is in the middle of the pack of the Big Ten.

The Hawks don’t show a lot of finesse. I’m not sure anyone expects Kirk Ferentz’s team to produce a spread team, especially not this year with multiple returners on the offensive line including Brandon Scherff who is as highly touted as they come.

We can’t forget the fullback turned running back Mark Weissman who runs as hard as anyone in the country. A bunch of hosses, just like Big E.
