No. 1: The Battle of the NUs (Northwestern)
Ah yes, academia at its finest. Northwestern, the Big Ten Upset Special itself has always been known as “NU” in the Big Ten. Well no more! If they can beat Nebraska, at least.
The Wildcats and Huskers have had nothing but contests that end in near cardiac arrests. All games between the two since Nebraska moved to the Big Ten have been decided by a total of seven points.
First, the Wildcats upset the Big Red at home in its inaugural Big Ten season. Then, Nebraska travels to Evanston, IL and thanks to a missed kick, pulled off the fourth-largest comeback in Husker football history (are you seeing a trend?).
Finally, there was last year. That’s really all that needs to be said.
So who is the REAL NU?
Trophy: Winner gets to be referred to as “NU” in all athletic events for a year. Loser goes by “UN-L” or “UN-E”
