Tight End:
First String: Cethan Carter
Second String: Sam Cotton
The tight end position’s been one of the most curiously-used positions on offense under Tim Beck. While Carter seems right on the edge of breaking out, Cotton has been a reliable safety valve as he learns.
True freshman Freedom Akinmoladun should have every opportunity to battle for time. He’s shown the ability to be the complete tight end Nebraska wants/needs. Not only is he a great pass catcher, he’ll knock a defender on his rear when it’s time for the run game to get moving.
