Losing Turner would perhaps be one of the saddest career-ending injuries the Huskers’ 2014 season could see. Here’s an amazingly athletic guy who never quite stuck. That said, he looked solid this spring (as he usually does), and he may finally get that opportunity to spread the field on reverses. Maybe.

What happens if he goes down: Tim Beck will lose a very talented slot receiver that defenses have to respect, if nothing else. If Beck actually decides to stretch out the field using the reverse, Turner’s the go-to guy. Admittedly, there are younger receivers who could do the job. Simply put, his loss would be a shame.
