Nebraska may as well change its mascot to Anya the cat thanks to Bo Pelini (or FauxPelini, whichever you prefer). Thanks to a meme that was brought to life at the 2014 Red-White Spring Game, the college football world can now proudly support the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ favorite feline with headgear.

As with any good meme or fad, we as human beings must take appropriate action and beat it into the ground.
Perhaps the most upsetting part of this whole spectacle/love affair with Pelini and his cat is the lack of commitment to the bit. “They tried to get me to put a sweater on, but that wasn’t happening,” Pelini said of his assistant coaches and players after last Saturday’s scrimmage.
Come on, coach. You can’t leave the public hanging like that.
As the loveable halftime-tweeter across the street might say, “Go hard to the hoop or don’t go at all.”
