Week 5 Predictions Against The Spread
# 6 LSU Tigers at #9 Georgia Bulldogs
Spread: Georgia -3
Who to take: LSU
People expected LSU to struggle this season and they have done just the opposite. Georgia has faced a tougher schedule than LSU thus far, and they could benefit from it, but LSU is playing great football. Expect the Tigers to get the job done in hostile territory and win by ten.
#21 Ole Miss Rebels at #1 Alabama Crimson Tide
Spread: Alabama -16
Who to take: Alabama
Ole Miss is a team on the rise. They are playing good football on both sides of the ball. The culture is changing and winning is becoming an expectation in Oxford. They might be the future of the SEC, but they are going to run into the present power in college football. The Tide rolls on Saturday and wins by 20.
#23 Wisconsin Badgers at #4 Ohio State Buckeyes
Spread: Ohio State -7
Who to take: Ohio State
The Buckeyes haven’t even needed preseason Heisman candidate Braxton Miller to run up the score on the opposition. Wisconsin has played better than expected through their non conference schedule, but they won’t be able to slow down the Buckeyes offense. Look for Ohio State to win by two touchdowns on Saturday.
#14 Oklahoma Sooners at #22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Spread: Oklahoma -3 1/2
Who to take: Oklahoma
The Sooners haven’t forgotten their loss to the Irish last season in Norman. It propelled Notre Dame towards the top of the polls and sent Oklahoma in a downward spiral. There is no Manti Te’o to stop the Sooners from putting up points. Oklahoma gets revenge and hands the Fighting Irish their second loss of the season.
Iowa Hawkeyes at Minnesota Golden Gophers
Spread: Iowa -1
Who to take: Minnesota
This game could be brutal to watch or could be one of the more entertaining games of the weekend. Iowa has shown signs of an offensive surge and Minnesota can run the ball and run it well. This will come down to defense and will probably come down to a field goal. I like the Gophers chances at home. Minnesota wins 24-23
