5 Nittany Lions To watch For

Nebraska’s 1st place in the Big 10 Legends Division is on the line Saturday against Penn State. The Nittany Lions have turned their season around after starting the season 0-2. They are now 6-3, and the Nebraska game is easily the biggest game left on their schedule. Here are the 5 players that could ruin Nebraska’s Saturday afternoon.

Zach Zwinak, Running back  #28:  The sophomore is a transformed fullback who has transitioned well into I-back. The 6-foot-1 232 lb. back has filled in well for the thin stable of backs that Penn State has left. Zwinak is not going to break off a 40-yard run, but if Penn State is in 3rd and short, Zwinak is going to get the ball every time.

Bill Belton, Running Back #1: This sophomore tailback is the big play back. He has the ability to break off 80 yard runs, and has racked up 259 yards in 5 games. He has scored 3 touchdowns, and has taken over as the big play back in Silas Redd’s absence. The thing Nebraska is going to have to do is contain Belton out of the backfield. He has 9 catches for 50 yards and 1 touchdown.

Gerald Hodges, Linebacker #6: The senior linebacker has racked up 74 tackles, 5 pass breakups, and 1 sack this season. Hodges is an NFL calibor linebacker. In Penn States blitz happy defense Hodges may see sack no. 2 this season on Saturday.

Michael Mauti, Linebacker #42: Mauti is the biggest playmaker of the three senior linebackers at Penn State. He has 82 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 2.5 sacks this season. Nebraska redshirt junior quarterback, Taylor Martinez will need to know where Mauti is at all times to avoid turnovers.

Matt McGloin, Quarterback #11: McGloin has been the key to Penn States success this season. He is completing 62.1% of his passes this season. The senior signal caller has thrown 18 touchdowns to 3 interceptions. Where Nebraska is going to have to be successful on Saturday is getting to McGloin. The 6-foot-1, 210. Pennsylvania native has been sacked 12 times this season.
