By Jimmie Allen
Here is the list of all 2013 recruits that we confirmed will be in Lincoln for Junior Day.
Josh Banderas is the top prospect in the state of Nebraska for the 2013 class. He is a 6-foot-2, 220 lb linebacker from Lincoln Southwest High School. Benderas has not been offered a scholarship by Nebraska, but the big offer may be coming Saturday.
Eric Beisel holds one scholarship from his home state school, Missouri. The 6-foot-4, 235 lb., linebacker from Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Missouri takes his first visit to Lincoln on Saturday.
Montell Cozart is a 6-foot-2, 180 lb., quarterback out of the state of Kansas. Only the in-state Jayhawks have offered the dual-threat quarterback.
Ezekiel Elliott is one of the fastest rising prospects in the country. The 6-foot-0, 200 lb. St. Louis native holds seven offers from, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, and most recently Ohio State.
Michael Minter Jr. is the son of former Husker legend Mike Minter Sr. He is a 6-foot-2, 180 lb. running back prospect out of Lincoln North Star High School. He is one of the top in-state prospects that the Huskers will more than likely offer a scholarship to.
Nick Ramirez is one player who just missed making the very first Fansided 150. He is one of the top prospects in the country. He holds six scholarship offers from Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, and Purdue. The 6-foot-1, 228 lb. linebacker prospect from Missouri will not be committing any time soon, but Nebraska is definitely in the mix.
Mitchell Parsons is a 6-foot-5, 220 lb. tight end from Parker Colorado. Tight end is a huge need for Nebraska. Parsons holds an offer from, his the in-state Colorado Buffaloes.
Dalton Rodriguez, is a 6-foot-6, 258 lb. defensive end from Union High School in Tulsa, OK. Union is full of talent this year. Landing Rodriguez could be the start to pulling in more talent from the Sooner state. Rodriguez has an offer from Texas Tech, and Tulsa.
Brayden Scott, is a 6-foot-3, 205 lb. pro-style quarterback from Tahlequah, OK. Sequoyah High School. Scott is not the prototypical quarterback that Nebraska is looking for right now. He’s not the most mobile quarterback, but he has a great arm, and holds over ten offers from around the country. Nebraska is not one of those offers, but could be after Saturday.
Maurice Smith is a 5-foot-11, 180 lb. cornerback from Sugar Land, TX. Dulles High School. Smith is a track star that has been to Nebraska before, for the Junior Olympics. While in Omaha, he and his parents stopped by Nebraska, and toured the campus in Lincoln.
Jon Wisnieski is the second tight end visiting Lincoln on Saturday. He is 6-foot-5, 215 lbs. from West Des Moines, IA. He holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
