The Nebraska basketball team is looking way down the road with an official visitor this weekend when a 2021 prospect will be hitting Lincoln.

Never say Nebraska basketball head coach Tim Miles isn’t planning for the future. The recruiting cycle for Nebrasketball is in full swing and that doesn’t just mean for the next class.

The Huskers are planning on hosting point guard Chucky Hepburn this weekend. Hepburn is a point guard that has shown quite a bit of promise, even if it’s really early to be making predictions on what kind of college basketball player he’s going to turn out to be.

That’s because Hepburn is a member of the 2021 class. The added bonus is that the Huskers have worked hard to get their foot in the door with a player that at the moment, is expected to be among the state’s best for that class.

The Bellevue West product was confirmed to be slated for a trip to Lincoln on Saturday. If that sounds familiar, it’s no coincidence.

The Nebraska football season opener is apparently a pretty big recruiting weekend for Scott Frost and Tim Miles alike. The basketball team is going to be hosting another very special player that won’t be able to enroll until the distant future.

Zaire Wade is the son of NBA superstar Dwyane Wade. He and his wife Gabrielle Union confirmed the prospect had an offer from Nebraska last week. They also confirmed they are coming to the season opener for the football team.

It’s safe to say Tim Miles and the rest of the Nebraska basketball coaches will likely take advantage of the fact that an NBA legend is going to be hanging around. Union, who is a grad of Nebraska and also a television and movie star certainly can’t hurt to have around as well.
