Nebraska football wide receivers coach Keith Williams is what any program should him to be: desired. With an opening at LSU, some Husker fans are worried that he won’t be in scarlet and cream much longer.

The Bayou Bengals released wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig leaving both LSU and Nebraska fans wondering what happens if the Tigers call Williams?

Well, let’s not lie. The Tigers play in one of the premiere conferences in college football. Williams would get to coach his wideouts to go up against Alabama’s defensive backs every year. There’d definitely be a hefty contract waiting for him, too.

However, let’s not forget that his son Keyan is a member of the Cornhusker roster and he’s brought in players that are practically family as recently as the 2017 cycle.

While business is business and no recruit should ever commit to a coach rather than a school, there’s no doubt the love between Tyjon Lindsey, Jaevon McQuitty and Keyshawn Johnson, Jr. is real.

While LSU does have plenty to offer (along with easy access to some pretty awesome food), Nebraska will now be fully invested in the Big Ten. What does that mean?

Thanks to television revenue and annual conference payouts, the Huskers will see an easy $40 million from the league, if not in excess of that. Nebraska can compete with raises.

Plenty of schools will come for Williams, but the Huskers will do everything they can to keep his brand of Savage Professionalism in Lincoln for as long as they possibly can.
