The weather outside’s pretty frigid, but it’s December in the home of Nebraska football. That said, you never know when the temperature’s going to change.

There’s plenty of news and notes from this past week of Big Red recruiting, so let’s get down to it.

  • Bellevue, NE’s Jaylin Bradley could end up being the running back taken this cycle. His semester ends before too long and it’s likely the Nebraska football staff runs a grade check. If his core numbers look good and the trajectory’s shooting upward, an offer is quite possible.
  • Athlete Greg Johnson decommited from Arizona:
  • Six members of the media that participate in 247Sports’ Crystal Ball program which projects the destination of recruits all put in new selections for Lincoln as Johnson’s new home.

More from Nebraska Football

  • Five-star wide receiver Joseph Lewis, who already has a fantastic relationship with wide receivers coach Keith Williams, also has six new projections to the Cornhusker State.
  • Mike Riley had an in-home visit with Foster Sarell last Saturday. Sarell will announce his commitment Jan 7 at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Riley wasn’t the only Husker coach that stopped by, though.Offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf was first, then offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh rotated in and Riley overlapped Cavanaugh’s visit.
  • Reggie Davis visited Oregon running back commitment CJ Verdell last Sunday.
  • John Parrella visited five-star defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin last Sunday. An official visit has been planned for Jan 13.
  • Current Florida commitment Elijah Blades has been predicted as a potential flip to the Big Red by 247Sports National Recruiting Insider Ryan Bartow.
  • Donte Williams visited Blades on Dec 8.
  • Utah cornerback commit Jaylon Johnson started following Donte Williams on Twitter on Dec 5.
