The Nebraska basketball team is working hard to replace the loss of shooting guard Andrew White, this time with a new offer for a 4-star small forward from Texas.

Savion Flagg, a 6’6″ forward who hails from Alvin, Texas announced on Twitter that he had received a new offer from head coach Tim Miles on Thursday afternoon. It appears that Miles is taking the same approach that football coach Riley has done recently, in going after the very best and seeing if he can make some headway.

If Miles were to lure in Flagg, who is a member of the 2017 class, it would be quite the coup, considering the big name schools who have already offered him a scholarship. Flagg has already received offers from the big three schools in the state in Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M.

The Maryland Terapins and Louisville Cardinals and Florida Gators have all reportedly offered the wingman as well. So far, Flagg has kept what schools he might be favoring extremely close to the vest.

The player, who has shot up the recruiting rankings since he attended a number of camps has taken a couple of visits, to Texas A&M and Rice. It shouldn’t surprise that he’s getting as much attention as he is. Flagg has managed to be a scorer, a rebounder and someone who can handle the ball during the camps he’s attended.

247Sports reported he recorded 9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists at a camp for Northwestern. One of the reasons the wing hasn’t named a favorite just yet is because he said he’s hearing much of the same sales pitch from each school. While talking to Rivals, Flagg told the site, “Coaches tell me I can come in and play a lot of big minutes, because I don’t have just one position, they say that helps a lot.”

This sales pitch is likely the same one the Nebraska basketball team is giving Savion Flagg but it certainly is true when it comes to the Huskers and their needs for the roster.
