Husker Football: Nebraska vs. Miami Hurricanes Preview

facebooktwitterreddit

After administering two mud hole-stompings and surviving a close call, Husker football finds itself back in prime-time with a 7:00 p.m. tilt against the Miami Hurricanes.

The two teams have only played a total of ten times, but you’d swear the series was a decades-old blood feud considering the vitriol.

At least one team has been ranked in seven of the contests, and both teams have been ranked in the top five all but once during the past five encounters.

The only time that wasn’t the case is when the No. 11 Cornhuskers fell 22-0 to the No. 1 Hurricanes on New Year’s Day in 1992.

More from Nebraska Football

– Stacy Coley, one of the Hurricanes’ most talented receivers, is currently listed as questionable for this weekend’s game due to a shoulder injury.

– Miami Defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad was suspended for the season last week due to a “because of a past altercation with a former student.” according to the Miami Herald.

– Ameer Abdullah’s been racking up the yardage, but we’ll see just how good AA8 is against the No. 15 rush defense in the country.

He’s gone up against No. 122 (Florida Atlantic) and No. 124 (Fresno State). He only turned in 54 yards against McNeese State.
