After another rough week for The Fearless Five we are ready to try to redeem ourselves with five picks that we feel will help us get back towards the .500 mark.  Point spreads are according to MGM-Mirage as of midnight on September 18th. Remember, these picks are for entertainment purposes only, bet at your own risk.

The Fearless Five: Week Four Predictions Against The Spread

1) Michigan State Spartans at #22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Spread: Notre Dame -7

Who to take: Notre Dame

The Golden Domer’s had a rough time with Purdue last week and Michigan State found their groove on offense. This might be a reason for people to think that Sparty might be the way to go with the points, but Notre Dame is at home and I am still not sold on MSU’s offense. Look for Notre Dame to win by nine.

2) Boise State Broncos at Fresno State Bulldogs

Spread: Fresno State -3

Who to take: Fresno State

I like the way Fresno State plays the game. While they are not the power that Boise State has become, I think their time is now. Look for Fresno to win a big game against the Broncos at home. I’m looking at a double digit win, let’s say ten points.

3) #23 Arizona State Sun Devils at #5 Stanford Cardinal

Spread: Stanford -7

Who to take: Stanford

Taking the home favorite three times in a row. Arizona State is an up and coming team, but Stanford is a national championship contender and will wear down the Sun Devils by the time this one is done. Look for Stanford to win big. 3o-14.

4) Kansas State Wildcats at Texas Longhorns

Spread: Texas -4 1/2

Who to take: Kansas State

The Mack Brown farewell tour will continue with Texas losing to the Wildcats yet again. I don’t care if K State lost to an FCS school or not, Texas has no direction on either side of the ball. Take the points, you won’t need them though.

5) Utah State Aggies at USC Trojans

Spread: USC -6 1/2

Who to take: Utah State

I know that Lane Kiffin got the Trojans back to winning last weekend, but this team is not what it one was and Utah State has a quarterback that will eat USC alive. I like The Aggies to win this game outright on the road.
