Missouri Lee Summit West High School outside linebacker Nick Ramirez, took a trip to Lincoln for Nebraska’s junior day. He had nothing but great things to say about the visit, and Nebraska’s program.

“The visit went well,” Ramirez said. “I really think the world of the Nebraska program and the tradition they have there. I like the facilities, and the fans are great. Coach (John) Garrison is my recruiting coach. I talked to him, coach (Ross) Els, and coach (Bo) Pelini. I got an offer from Nebraska my sophomore year, so that wasn’t something I had to worry about. I really appreciated the offer. They just told me to keep in touch, and that they want me there.”

Aside from the coaches on the staff, Ramirez got to hear from Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne.

“We got two speeches while we were there.” Ramirez said. “Coach Bo talked, and we heard from their athletic director. He is a really famous former head coach, and that was pretty cool.”

The 6-foot-2, 220  lb. linebacker is one of the highest touted linebackers in the country.”I am up to six offer,” Ramirez said. “I have recently got an offer from Illinios, and Kansas State, and Iowa.”

As for what is next for the Missouri native, he plans on keeping his spring and summer busy.

“I am going to Kansas February 25,” Ramirez said, “I will be going to Arkansas on March 3. I have no camps planned right now, but I plan on going to some.”

As for his recruiting process, he does not have a leader, or a short list of schools he is interested in. He has two schools he wants to take official visits to.

“I know I am going to Nebraska, and Missouri for sure on my official visits,” Ramirez said. “I am still wide open. I don’t have a school I like more than the other. I am just going to see what is out there.”

Of the schools he hasn’t received an offer from, one school in SEC country stands out.

“I would like to get an offer from Arkansas,” Ramirez said. “I am going there on the 3rd. They haven’t said anything about an offer, but they tell me they like what they see. So maybe that will lead to an offer.”

Ramirez total scholarship lists include Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska and Purdue.
