Getting To Know Alonzo Moore

Alonzo Moore is a 6-foot-2, 170 lb. athlete out of Winnfield Louisiana High School. He will be deciding to attend either  Nebraska, Louisiana Tech, and Northwestern State on National Signing Day tomorrow. Moore has recently cut the Mississippi Sate Bulldogs out of his list of possible schools. He is set to announce his decision and fax his National Letter of Intent at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

With Nebraska listed as his only BCS conference school many people may think that Moore is not a big time recruit, but he actually has several other offers, he has just cut it down to these three schools that he would like to attend.

Along with the three noted schools Moore received a scholarship offer from schools such as Mississippi, Texas A&M, and Minnesota among others.

He has recently visited Louisiana Tech, but did not commit. He has been quoted as saying nothing has changed in his recruiting process. To me with the elimination of Mississippi State from his list, and not committing to Louisiana Tech while on campus, that leaves Moore to be Nebraska’s to lose.

Aside from 5 star offensive tackle Andrus Peat, Moore may have been the most sought after recruit in this class. Moore is listed as an athlete, and it’s not clear if he will play wide receiver or defensive back at the next level, but Nebraska defensive back coach Corey Raymond has been the main recruiter for Moore’s services.

Raymond stopped by Moore’s house on Thursday, and according to the 4 star Louisiana prospect, they just talked and it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Moore has kept his recruitment process really close to the chest, and has not shared a whole lot of what’s on his mind with anyone.

That will all change tomorrow around 9 a.m. when he makes his decision.
