You can hear the excitement in a young mans voice when he chooses the school of his dreams.

“Oh yeah my recruitment is over. I am going to Nebraska,” said Michael Rose. A 6-foot-0, 230 lb linebacker from Kansas City, Missouri, Rockhurst High School.

“My main thing coming into this process was, I had to get my supporting cast together. My coaches, family members and all that and they helped me make my decision,” Rose said. “I am not a big facility guy. To me to coaching staff was really important to me. I was talking to coach (John) Papuchis last night. I told him how important it was to me it is that I have a good relationships with the whole coaching staff. That was the main thing to me. I felt comfortable with everyone of Nebraska’s coaches. Coach (John) Garison is the coach recruting me. But I talk to coach JP , Coach (Ron) Brown and Coach (Ross) Elis.”

Rose plans on taking a trip back to Lincoln in July, but he doesn’t plan on coming a lone.

“I’ll be back up to Lincoln in July and I plan on going with Jordan Diggs,” Rose said. Jordan Diggs is a 6-foot-1 190 lb safety fro Cape Coarl, Florida. “I keep telling him to come be a Husker. I talk to him and Greg McMullen. They are really the only recruits I talk to. Greg already committed though and he’s a really good player.”

When asked how the NU coaches felt about him, Rose said they had nothing but positive feedback for him.

“They like that I can get to the ball quick. They say I make plays,” Rose said. “They like my leadership ability. All of the coaches feel like I can come in and be a leader right away.”

As far as any other schools go, Rose isn’t planning on taking any official visits other than Nebraska.

“I am done with my process.  I am taking my official on Oct. 8 for the Ohio State game in Lincoln,” Rose said. ” That should be a good time. I am going to try and get Jordan to go with me to that. The best recruiting tool, is us the recruits.”

As far as the rest of the Summer, Rose plans on attending a few camps, and getting ready for his senior season.

“In July I am going to the ESPN Grid Iron camp,” Rose said. ” After that I am getting ready for the season and winning another state championship. Its my senior year, and we have so much at stake. If we win this year we have the most state championship rings in the state of Missouri. 10 championship is the most we are tied. We have won 14 straight games, 28 is the most in the state of Missouri.”
