Nebraska football can a major commitment from a tight end on Monday.

Nebraska football was able to land a commitment from 2021 tight end James Carnie. In doing so, Nebraska lands another explosive tight end who can make things happen after the catch and who can spread the field.

If there is one position that Nebraska football has recruited well so far the past couple of months, it is tight end. It’s obvious that they want the tight ends to be a focal point of their offense, and the current ones in the positional group has been working hard to fix the little errors. It will be interesting to see how the tight ends are featured this year.

As far as the future does, Carnie figures to be a big part of that. He has the playmaking ability amd explosiveness to be a big-time weapon for Nebraska. It will be interesting to see how they use him, and what type of impact he will make. Nevertheless, it is extremely clear that Nebraska will have a loaded end position in the next couple of years.

With that in mind, I offer my thoughts about what this commitment means for Nebraska football. As an overall statement, I would say that this puts Nebraska football in a better position to succeed for the future. Last year they did not have a ton of depth positions like tight end. They are planning  to change that for the future.
