Brandon Peters

Brandon Peters is last on the list only because the two quarterbacks ahead of them are extremely talented. Peters figures to be the starting quarterback for Illinois in the upcoming season.

Last season, Peters was very good for the Illini. Once a member of Michigan, he put together 1,884 yards, 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He certainly did not have his best game against Nebraska, going nine-of-22 on the day, and throwing for 78 yards. He did throw a touchdown however, and kept Illinois in the game throughout.

Now a senior, Peters will undoubtedly be the starter in 2020. The game against Nebraska was not indicative of his overall skill. He threw for 369 yards against Michigan State on November 9. The game against Nebraska was an overall bad game for him. Quarterbacks have those from time to time.

He would finish the season with 1,884 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. I expect him to give Nebraska trouble when the program comes to Lincoln on October 20.
