Local prospects get more attention

While junior day certainly served as a chance for Nebraska football to introduce some players to its coaches, program and facilities, with others, it was a chance to invest more time with guys who are already plenty familiar with Frost and company.

One of those guys is Zavier Betts, who is one of the most important targets for the Huskers during the 2020 cycle, especially considering he is from Nebraska and is one of the top overall players in the country.

Right now, Betts is ranked 59th overall in 2020 according to the 247 sports composite rankings and among wide receivers, the 6-foot-2 pass catcher ranks 23rd, as well as being the No. 1 player in the state of Nebraska. He’s an important get and it was a good sign having him back on junior day.

Another guy that the Huskers have been in contact with constantly is Turner Corcoran, a four-star offensive lineman from Lawrence, Kansas. He was in Lincoln over the weekend and is the No. 6 offensive tackle in 2020. He has also garnered major interest from Ohio State, yet 247 recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong is predicting that he will end up playing for Nebraska.
