Running back:

First String – Ameer Abdullah, Imani Cross
Second String – Terrell Newby, Adam Taylor

Another position that’s settled. Abdullah and Cross offers one of the Big Ten’s best one-two punches, but Husker football fans may see all four backs involved this season.

With a year acclimating to FBS college football under his belt, expect Taylor to get his fair share of the carries early on. Newby has had issues holding onto the football which continued through spring. If Taylor can secure the rock, he may knock No. 34 down the ladder.
