Nebraska football’s schedule has some scary good teams and some scary bad ones. We rank them from worst to first in terms of difficulty.

There is very little doubt that the Nebraska football team’s 2018 schedule is plenty hard. Of the 13 teams on the schedule, nine were bowl teams a year ago.

You might have seen the list being passed around of FBS teams that don’t have an FCS team on the schedule. The Cornhuskers were on that list as well.

Even the “easy” teams on the schedule aren’t all that easy. This is why the Huskers are considered a long shot to even win eight games in 2018.

In order to get ready for the regular season (it’s closer than you think), we’ve decided it’s time to take a closer look at that schedule.

Last month we ranked the quarterbacks the Huskers will be facing. You won’t be surprised to find out that the rankings of the actual opponents don’t match that list.

Sometimes the quarterback is better than the team surrounding him. Other times the team is good in spite of a mediocre quarterback.

Whatever the reason, the Huskers aren’t going to have a lot of weeks off this season. Almost all the games are against teams that posted a better record than the Huskers or showed they were better than the Nebraska football team in 2017.

Scott Frost is here and that is going to change things. You’ll still want to see just how the entire 2018 schedule shapes up for the Huskers as we ranked the worst to the toughest opponent.
