It’s been an exciting week for both Nebraska football and basketball fans. Spring practice continues for those wearing shells and pads while Tim Miles was on the hot seat for a split second.

For the fifth time in a row, Nebrasketball fans were subjected to seeing their team end up on the losing end. Only this time, they’d be bounced from the Big Ten Tournament and even before the second half could end, the calls for head coach Tim Miles’ job became raucous.

There was already debate coming into the day about whether or not Miles should be retained. However, after Penn State advanced in the Big Ten Tournament and before an outpouring of hatred could be spewed Miles’ way (entirely, at least), a tweet from On High stunned a good chunk of the faithful.

Say what you will about the decision, it immediately took the spotlight off of Miles for a while and put it directly on Eichorst who cares about the program and what the fans think, but maybe not in the short-sighted sense.

Plenty of fans are still pretty P.O.’ed at the call and threats of dropping season tickets have cropped up. However, there still appear to be quite a few Nebrasketball fans on the bandwagon.
