The Nebraska football team made the cut when 4-star offensive line recruit Chuck Filiaga named his final 10.

The player, who is originally from California but moved to Texas to play his final year in high school made the announcement on his Twitter account Monday night. The offensive tackle, who is part of the 2017 class is just the latest high-profile offensive lineman the Huskers have been after hard.

The Nebraska football team recently hosted the top offensive line recruit in the country in Foster Sarell this past weekend. The team is also expected to be hosting 5-star tackle Austin Jackson in the very near future.

Filiaga is currently ranked as the number 102 player in the country, according to Huskers Illustrated. In additional to naming the Nebraska football team among the top 10, the offensive lineman narrowed his list down to Arkansas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas and USC.

The 4-star recruit said his list was not in the order of preference but rather just in alphabetical order. Filiaga said he plans to take all five of his official visits this fall. That means the Huskers have still got quite a hill to climb if they want to be one of those five schools he officially visits.

Of course, even if he doles out his officials to five other schools, the game isn’t over if Cornhuskers can get him in for an unofficial visit. The fact that so many high ranking prospects are taking long looks at Nebraska shows the program has managed to make a comeback of sorts, in terms of national prominence.

Now the Nebraska football team needs to build on its solid start to the season. Another 6-7 year will likely make the Huskers fade in quite a few of these players’ eyes. Filiaga has not said when he plans to announce the five schools that will get official visits.
