Husker Baseball Head Coach, Darin Erstad is on the Professional Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.  This is his first time on the ballot along with 17 other first timers in a field of 34. He played with the White Sox, the Astros and the Angels. His career accolades include 3 Gold Gloves, 2 times at the  ALL-Star game , and 1 World Series title.

Did you go to the Track Kat Klash in Houston, Texas Sunday? No. Well the Lady Huskers Bowling team did and they won their 3rd straight tournament of the 2014-2015 season. Senior 2 time All American Liz Kuhlkin had a high score of 277 and a total pinfall of 1,293 in six games. The team goes on winter break from December 13-January 5 and is back in action in Jonesboro, Arkansas for the Mid-Winter Classic January 16-18.

BIG TEN Diver of the Week goes to Nicole Schwery on the Nebraska Women’s Diving Team. She joins sophomore, Anna Filipcic who has twice this year garnered the honor of  Husker Diver of the Week.  Junior Schwery earned a platform dive score of 269.20 and a 2nd place in the three-meter dive and 4th place in the one-meter dive.

Senior Wrestler James Green earned his 100th career victory Sunday, November 16th when the Huskers hosted the Terrapins at the NU Coliseum.  Green holds the spot at the 157 lb class.  Anthony Abidin continued his unbeaten streak of the season winning a 4-2 decision at the 141 pound class.  Huskers went on to a 45-3 win over Duke and then beating NC State 16-15 over the past weekend.  Huskers grapple next Dec. 5-6 in Las Vegas, NV at the Cliff Keen Invitational.

Don’t mess with our Lady Huskers Rifle TeamRachel Martin smashed the individual air rifle record when she fired a 597 in the competition in Alaska-Fairbanks.  The Huskers are ranked 7th on the Top 20 Poll after competitions in Alaska garnered honors. Their next outing is January 17th when they go to top ranked West Virginia.
