Playing time as a defensive tackle for the Husker football team just became potentially bountiful. Maybe Aaron Curry would like to rethink his transfer?
Teammates were crushed to see Kevin Williams, who has had two serious knee injuries, go down today. Extent of injury not yet clear. #Huskers

Okay, so what does this mean? Well, first let’s take into account Bo Pelini’s statement that Williams is “day to day” according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
I’m not trying to speak for coach Pelini, but I can make an educated guess on what that means.
The LJS goes on to say that Williams was “down for a few minutes”.
This could be potentially catastrophic or rather minor. Of course, with the rash of injuries the Huskers have experienced in fall camp, Big Red fans are probably going to jump to the former.
In other words, Williams could be looking at anything from severe ligament tears that would sideline him for the season or a minor tweak coupled with an easily treatable injury to the lower leg.
Think about something painful happening around your ankle while something in your knee’s getting jarred.
After Williams went down, he was replaced by true freshman Peyton Newell next to Kevin Maurice.
Logan Rath, a walk-on from Aurora, NE had seen time in the spring and played relatively well, so take from that move what you will.
Hopefully Williams rebounds quickly for his own sake and the Big Red’s season.
