Well, Husker football takes another hit with the news that defensive tackle Aaron Curry will be packing his bags and heading off to Norman to play for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Obviously, it would’ve been nice to keep the amount of depth that the Huskers looked to have heading into the upcoming season.
This transfer suggests that Kevin Maurice and Kevin Williams may be next on the depth chart behind likely starters Vincent Valentine and Maliek Collins.
Keep in mind that Valentine and Collins are both sophomores as is Maurice. Williams is a junior as is Curry.
Playing time certainly does look thin for Curry under that scenario, but it’s always good to have as much depth as possible. That said, his decision is more than understandable.
Curry played in 17 games during his career at Nebraska, starting eight. He tallied 30 tackles (11 solo), three tackles for loss, two sacks and three quarterback hurries.
