Tim Miles reached into the state of Iowa and snagged the state’s No. 1 overall prospect to be a part of the Huskers. Michael Jacobson, the No. 214 power forward in the country became Nebrasketball’s most recent addition giving the Big Red a 6’8″ 220-pounder.
His offer list includes UTEP, Indiana State, Drake, Northern Indiana and a pethora of Ivy League schools.
Jacobson doesn’t look to be a flashy all-star at first glance, but he appears to be a part of Miles’ ultimate scheme.
Any proper basketball team needs role players, after all. He didn’t only have offers for roundball, either. Iowa State wanted to bring him in as a tight end.
While there are likely to be some fans upset with the fact Jacobson isn’t a five-star All-Everything, keep in mind that Miles has shown amazing ability to motivate players to be their best.
Jacobson’s also a likely four-year player that can assist Nebraska in whatever role Miles eventually places him in.
After all, there was another underappreciated Iowan who ended up doing pretty welkl for himself. Maybe Nebraska got the next Doug McDer…okay, I’ll stop right there.
