Football season is officially around the corner. While the Huskers haven’t begun popping pads yet, the newest members of the roster are officially identifiable.
Looking for Nebraska football tickets?
Watch out for these numbers and the freshmen associated with them using this lovely sortable chart:

|Defensive End||Sedrick King||17|
|Wide Receiver||Glenn Irons||18|
|Wide Receiver||Jariah Tolbert||19|
|Running Back||Mikale Wilbon||21|
|Defensive End||Mick Stoltenberg||44|
|Offensive Guard||Tanner Farmer||63|

|Offensive Tackle||Nick Gates||69|
|Tight End||Freedom Akinmoladun||88|
|Defensive Lineman||Peyton Newell||99|
|Defensive End||DeAndre Wills||YTBD|
In addition, All-Everything Randy Gregory is setting the bar high as he has chosen to don one of the Huskers’ greatest defenders’ numeral, No. 4.
You may remember that number from the countless times current Pro Bowl linebacker LaVonte David was seen wearing it making play after play. Head coach Bo Pelini is no doubt hoping lightning strikes twice.
The number selection’s also convenient for hardcore Tommy Armstrong, Jr. fans. Now you have an official Double-Whammy Jersey!
Be sure to update your programs for the following players as well:
Wide receiver Alonzo Moore will now wear No. 82, safety LeRoy Alexander takes the No. 2, defensive lineman Joe Keels will sport No. 91 and cornerback Boaz Joseph must have self-confidence as he is now No. 1.
Update: DeAndre Lewis is no longer a member of the Nebraska football team.
