Yes, Quincy Enunwa’s yardage was inflated by a single catch in the 2014 Gator Bowl against Georgia, but he still caught 12 touchdowns to Bell’s four last season.

Take that bolt by Enunwa out of the equation and he still had 77 more yards than Bell on one less catch. With a younger quarterback, Bell’s going to be looked to as one of the bigger safety nets.

Fellow senior Jamal Turner has been sporadic and Jordan Westerkamp has one of the best set of hands on the team, but Bell wasn’t chosen to represent his team by drawing straws.

Nebraska’s Josh Mitchell has already gone on record as saying he’ll be the best cornerback in the conference this year. A high bar to set, but it’d be refreshing to hear a member of the Huskers’ 2014 offensive unit take the same attitude.
