We headed into the Husker football library this morning pondering what offering we should give less than eight weeks out from real, live tackle football.
The air still hazy from firework smoke, we shuffled through the tapes to find a game where the Big Red put up some explosions of their own.
“What about Texas Tech?,” I wondered. The Red Raiders seemed like an ideal choice considering how the Air Raid offense had found a home in Lubbock, but the question was “which game?” When in doubt, look to the 90s.
Today, we bring you the second game of the 1994 season when Nebraska travelled to Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium as the No. 1 team in the country to take on Texas Tech.
There were plenty of fireworks, just not for the home team.
Don’t worry, Husker Nation, your suffering is almost over. Then we can close the library doors for another offseason and enjoy the real deal again. For now, snag a beverage and a snack. Enjoy the show.
