Husker Football: Big Red Morphine – Huskers vs. Buffs ’95

It’s another Husker football Saturday! If we here at Husker Corner have anything to say about it, then it is, anyway.

Flipping through the library this week, the rivalry piece made us think of little sub-rivalries from olden times. If you want to talk about a rivalry that was trying to be pushed onto Nebraska, look no further than the efforts of Bill McCartney.

Try as he might, all McCartney really ended up doing is show off some major jackassery and expose Husker fans to the wonders of Boulder, CO. So we have one component in Colorado, but how to make this week’s edition of Big Red Morphine even better? Ah, perhaps displaying just how good Husker football was in 1995.

This week, we present to you the No. 2 Nebraska Cornhuskers taking a trip to the No. 7 Colorado Buffaloes’ home field. Do you remember how this one turned out? Regardless, snag a snack, a beverage and blow this puppy up to full screen. It’s time to get your fix.
