It’s been a productive few months for the Nebraska football recruiting staff. The Lone Star State appears to be the current home to the Offer Cannon® with one of the most recent recipients being the hoss that is Connor Williams.
The 6’5″ 275 pound Coppell, TX native also has offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Michigan and UCLA among others.
The offers are starting to come in fast and furious as the Arkansas and UCLA offers arrived just this month along with one from Missouri.
Interior linemen Jake Cotton and Mike Moudy will all be departing after this season along with center Mark Pelini. This leaves only Ryne Reeves, Chongo Kondolo, Paul Thurston and Corey Whitaker as upperclassmen in the interior.
Williams has played the role of tight end for Coppell High School, but he’s shown excellent explosion off the ball, acceleration and overall run blocking ability.
Currently ranked as the No. 75 prospect in-state and No. 9 center overall by the 247Sports Composite Index, Williams would make an excellent addition to a line that needs to make a preemptive strike in rebuilding depth.
