2014 NFL Draft: Husker Corner Monday Mailbag (5/5/14)

Welcome to the 2014 NFL Draft version of the Monday Mailbag because did it really need to be pushed back two weeks? Anyway, just about every question that came in this week was about the draft, I decided to go pro for a week. Barry Graham, you’re on the clock.

I looked over your projections and read up on where Spencer Long might end up. He said he was told he could even go undrafted. Is that really possible? – Barry Graham (Husker Corner Mail)

Brandon: Honestly, I don’t think that happens. I originally had Spencer going to the Chiefs then the Browns in the fourth. Both teams need interior help, especially Cleveland. I don’t think he’s on the board past that point.

If I gave you $1,000 and would double your money if you’re right, what three cities would you pick Jean-Baptiste to go to and how much would you wager? – Sarah Nunn (Husker Corner Mail) Brandon: You’re just up and giving me a grand? Why don’t you write in more often?

To answer your question:

New Orleans: $450
Pittsburgh: $350
Chicago: $200

Do you think Nebraska has more than three players picked like the last two years? – Edward Collins (Husker Corner Mail)

Brandon: I don’t. Aside from Jean-Baptiste and Long, I don’t see another lock. I’d like to think someone picks up Quincy, but I just don’t see it happening with a draft so crammed full of receivers. Assuming

Jean-Baptiste doesn’t go in the first round this year, do you think Randy Gregory will next year? – Scott Billings (Husker Corner Mail)

Brandon: Maybe to a different house in Lincoln. I believe he stays.
