Husker Football: Predicting Fall’s Offensive Depth Chart

Quarterback:

First String: Tommy Armstrong
Second String: Johnny Stanton OR Rkyer Fyfe

As of now, this competition’s pretty well decided. While all three quarterbacks showed improvement this spring, Armstrong distanced himself from his challengers. It’s going to take a meltdown to get him yanked from the starter’s spot.

That said, there does need to be a solid No. 2. Expect that tussle between Stanton and Fyfe to go well into fall camp, if not into the first non-conference games. If Nebraska has a comfortable lead against Florida Atlantic and McNeese State, expect them both to get a fair number of snaps.
