Nebraska Recruiting: Huskers Offer Louisiana Defensive End

Nebraska recruiting

The Nebraska recruiting staff appears to be going heavy on defensive offers in the south lately. A recent offer in the bayou only adds evidence to that speculation.

Defensive end Joe Anderson is one of the latest prospects to pick up an offer from the Big Red. Being pursued by defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski, Anderson is ranked as the No. 22 weakside defensive end in the nation and No. 30 prospect overall in the state of Louisiana according to the 247Sports Composite Index.

Anderson’s measurables (6’4″ 240 pounds) are similar to current Huskers junior Randy Gregory. Nebraska fans’ favorite pass rusher has two inches and five pounds on Anderson, but the staff may see something like Gregory in the Louisiana native.

He currently also has offers from Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Tulane and Utah.
